  • Position Summary...

    What you'll do...

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Specialty Compliance and Ethics, eCommerce Compliance (Marketplace) to join our growing team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring our marketplace operations align with industry regulations, policies, and internal standards. As the Director of Marketplace Compliance, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a fair and ethical marketplace environment while fostering strong relationships with our internal business partners and compliance SMEs.

    About Team: Omnichannel Platform Compliance

    The Omnichannel Platform Compliance division within Walmart is responsible for defining, enforcing, and promoting policies, programs and products to ensure safe transactions and create trust perception across our online and marketplace businesses.

    What you'll do:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance strategies for the marketplace, considering both local and international regulations.

    • Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and industry standards, and adjust compliance protocols accordingly.

    • Manage team of associates to ensure compliance requirements are defined and implemented to support new business initiatives.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, operations, and product, to integrate compliance measures seamlessly into existing processes.

    • Manage team to evaluate existing system controls to develop monitoring programs to ensure seller compliance.

    • Manage regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance issues and implement proactive solutions.

    • Lead investigations into potential compliance breaches, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

    • Provide regular reports to executive leadership, summarizing compliance performance, emerging risks, and recommended actions.

    • Ensure that marketplace policies and procedures align with industry best practices and ethical standards.

    • Drive a culture of compliance throughout the organization by promoting awareness and accountability.

    What you'll bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in compliance is a plus.

    • Proven experience in a compliance leadership role within a marketplace or e-commerce setting.

    The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

    Minimum Qualifications...

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience. 4 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
