  • Job Description

    Our client is one of the largest employee-owned general contractors and Construction Management companies in the United States. They are looking to bring on 1 Senior Level and 1 Mid-Level EH&S Manager on a 6-month C2H basis in Richmond VA. This is a $900 million commercial construction project, in which their customer is adding 2 buildings to its research and technology campus. The construction of the north building will provide 21 stories of office space, while the south building will include amenities such as an auditorium, fitness center, food hall, and retail space. The 750,000 SF project is estimated to be completed in Spring 2026.

    Responsibilities include

    Facilitate pre-construction review and planning activities.

    Conduct frequent physical inspections of the site, risk assessments, review Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) documents and give feedback .

    Effectively communicate with all persons on the jobsite.

    Actively identify potential hazards.

    Notify responsible parties when immediate corrective actions are required.

    Effectively administer a progressive disciplinary program.

    Able to perform basic computer operations.

    Skills and Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental Health and Safety related field or equivalent experience

    Entry Level: 3-5 years of construction site safety management experience, Mid-Level: 10+ years

    OSHA 30

    Recognized Safety Professional Certification (Examples: BCSP, CSP, CHST, ASP, GSP)

    CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification

    Experience working on large projects in excess $10M range or higher.

    An in-depth knowledge of OSHA Regulations OSHA 500 or 501

    1st Aid/CPR trainer experience

    Spanish speaking ability null
