    The Job:

    As a EHS Manager, you'll be part of our T&O Global Supply Chain team working as a on-site employee. You'll get to:

    • Manage site activities to achieve Stanley Black and Decker (SBD) EHS Management System Plan goals and objectives.

    • Develop, author and implement EHS programs and procedures in compliance with SBD, local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

    • Drive the SBD "Safety Always" safety culture and promote employee EHS engagement throughout the business.

    • Use established EHS data processes to manage and report data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information. Analyze safety data to lead and coordinate the safety effort for continual improvement.

    • Identify EHS training requirements, create training content and deliver in-person and electronic training content through a Learning Management System.

    • Evaluate Research & Development (R&D) and New Product Development (NPD) testing and non-standard work processes to identify risks and evaluate and implement immediate and sustainable corrective actions.

    • Verify the evaluation, preparation, documentation, and accurate, timely submission of all required EHS regulatory reporting.

    • Ensure audits are completed on a regular basis to detect existing or potential risks and hazards. Ensure the recommended corrective or preventative measures are completed in a timely manner.

    • Manage the site Contractor Safety Program with the Site Leader to ensure that contractors and subcontractors follow SBD, local, state, and federal rules and regulations by conducting contractor pre-qualifications and by visiting/auditing work in progress on a regular basis.

    • Establish and maintain facility specific management plans for hazardous waste and non-hazardous materials.

    • Organize and manage teams to identify and implement safety improvements, waste reductions and resource conservation.

    • Drive the site Good Catch/Near Miss and incident reporting program. Perform root cause analysis of good catches, near misses, incidents and injuries to determine specific actions needed to prevent their reoccurrence.

    • Coordinate the site workers compensation program with the SBD Workers Compensation Manager, including working with all parties to aggressively manage and support transitional duty and return to work programs.

    • Develop and implement programs for pollution prevention and sustainability in alignment with SBD Ecosmart and other ESG goals.

    • Complete risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation measures for all potential risks and hazards of business operations on the site.

    • Manage the safety data sheet and new chemical request process.

    • Oversee the facility emergency response team to ensure appropriate training in emergency response, spill response, disaster preparedness and crisis management.

    • Serve as the primary EHS contact for all facility EHS concerns.

    The Person:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related field of study -or- 5 years' experience in a technical, laboratory, manufacturing, or EHS training role.

    • 3-7 years of experience in EHS support or management preferred.

    • Experience with flammable liquids, lithium-ion battery or chemical process safety preferred.

    • Experience with Lean Operations and 5S concepts is preferred.

    • Strong ability to lead, motivate, engage, and influence others in a fast-paced and demanding Research & Development (R&D) and New Product Development (NPD) environments.

    • Strong computer skills in MS Office platforms, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Word and database or software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems.

    • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team environment within a complex reporting matrix.
