    The Electrical Engineer will be a hardware design engineer with varied technical interests and demonstrated engineering skills. The individual must be a self-starter with experience working with inter-disciplinary teams to solve challenging technical problems. The engineer will work closely with hardware integrated into a range of military munition systems, Hardware-in-the-Loop environments, and related equipment. The engineer will support reverse-engineering and testing of foreign weapon systems to assess threat capabilities and vulnerabilities against U.S. systems that oppose it.

    Primary Responsibilities

    This position will involve circuit board design and testing primarily for military applications. Work duties include component selection, schematic design and capture, board level testing and debugging, and system level integration and testing. Systems under design, analysis, and testing incorporate a combination of skillsets spanning both digital and analog. This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects in a fast-paced environment. The position will require significant interaction and teaming with other design engineers, project managers, technicians, circuit board layout personnel, as well as some technical collaboration with customers.

    Basic Qualifications

    Candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institute of higher learning with a 3.5 or higher GPA and 1 to 3 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with less than 1 year of prior relevant experience.

    • Candidate will demonstrate:

    • Hardware/PCB design experience including schematic capture and some board layout.

    • Experience in debugging and troubleshooting electronic printed circuit board assemblies with a mixture of analog and embedded hardware and firmware.

    • A working knowledge of microprocessors and microcontrollers.

    • Comprehension of various FPGA and microprocessor architectures.

    • Comprehension of digital signal processing.

    • A basic understanding of C/C++ and assembly languages.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Education or work experience in embedded software design.

    • Competency using C++/C and assembly languages.

    • Education or work experience with FPGA or ASIC synthesis and simulation tools.

    • Competency with hardware description languages including Verilog or VHDL.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00
