The Role

Defines the requirements to design, develop, build, and maintain the tools, processes and data architecture of a Model Based Enterprise. Analyzes capabilities of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. Leads internal and external stakeholders through determining conditions and designing fully functional and secure digital solutions. Develops long-range objectives and strategic plans for digital engineering innovations, and effectively communicates documented data and results to necessary stakeholders. Generates and presents business case analyses to executive leadership to pursue digital enterprise opportunities. Enables digital transformation efforts by conducting research, driving new technical approaches and processes, as well as developing and managing testing of functionality.

2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

Nice to Have

Preferred qualifications include

• Background in electrical or piping design/engineering

• An understanding of NNS engineering data, processes and practices (including CVN RCOH and CVN 78 modeling processes)

• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external customers

• Understanding of agile development practices and familiar with Azure DevOps (ADO)
