    Job Description

    This role is contingent upon award. MindPoint Group is seeking a forward-thinking and self-motivated Senior Engineering Manager. This exciting role requires an appetite for staying abreast of emerging technologies, superior attention to detail, great organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment. You will lead multiple teams of engineers providing advanced cybersecurity services. You will provide expert technical guidance, support, and input to ensure exceptional service delivery across multiple engineering pillars. In addition, the candidate must complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and provide the appropriate attention and support to overcome technical obstacles.

    What you get to do every day:

    Technical :

    • Provide technical expertise and guidance across multiple cybersecurity domains including Zero Trust Networking, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Vulnerability Management, Advanced Email Threat Protection (ETP), and Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM)

    • Collaborate with other functional teams to identify, vet, and implement new Security Automation opportunities; includes participation in client discovery sessions as requested

    • Lead product evaluations and analyses of alternatives; consider all factors and make sound recommendations to aid clients in product selection; Lead technical aspects of proofs of concept, pilots, and the implementation

    • Design and execute strategic initiatives to advance the engineering team-s growth and service capabilities

    • Communicate technical details effectively to engineers as well as senior-level stakeholders

    • Remain abreast of tools, technologies, and industry developments relevant to cybersecurity through formal training and independent research

    • Review and evaluate service delivery for time and cost efficiencies while expanding offered services

    Team Leadership:

    • Oversee continuous improvement efforts for your team and service delivery

    • Lead and mentor Agile engineering best practices across large engineering teams

    • Mentor and develop team members; support their professional growth and career progression

    • Assess engineering talent to add expert-level skillsets to the team; including training/upskilling of current workforce and new hiring activities

    • Develop, review, and approve technical documentation including handbooks, service guides, SOPs, RACI matrices, CONOPS, workflows, and integration guides to ensure operational consistency and continuity

    Client-facing:

    • Translate customer needs into defined requirements; develop innovative solutions

    • Display attention to detail and drive the highest levels of customer satisfaction

    • Create and deliver polished technical reports and presentations to senior-level stakeholders

    • Ensure customer requests/issues are assigned and fully resolved

    • Provide the highest quality service delivery and customer service across multiple external customers

    Qualifications

    Clearance Required

    What skills are required?

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

    • Minimum eight (8) years of Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering work experience, with at least two (2) years successfully managing large cybersecurity engineering teams and projects

    • Strong Working Knowledge of the following:

    • Zero Trust Networking Concepts

    • Endpoint Detection and Response

    • Email Threat Protection

    • Vulnerability Management

    • Security Information and Event Monitoring

    • Automation and management tools

    • Deception technologies

    • User Entity and Behavior Analytics

    • Exceptional critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

    • Knowledge of the information security threat landscape and with knowledge of SOC operations

    • Expert oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, up to and including executive (e.g., CIO/CISO) level

    • Demonstrated track record of sound decision-making, taking ownership, and delivering results with an appropriate sense of urgency

    • Customer-focused mindset and drive to deliver the best possible customer experience

    • Experience managing complex issues and coordinating solutions across multiple teams

    What is ideal?

    • CISSP & CEH (or equivalent) certifications

    Location:

    • This is a "hybrid" position that can be performed primarily via telework, but the selected candidate WILL be expected to travel to and near the customer site in Atlanta, GA approximately quarterly for team and client meetings AND as required to meet operational requirements (e.g., major incidents or outages)
