  • Description

    The Estimator plays a key role in ensuring that estimates and quotes are completed in an accurate and timely manner, per standards. Collaborate with the project management team to develop competitive and comprehensive estimates. Continuously grow in capabilities and relevant manufacturing processes. Prepare detailed estimates based on customer information, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards. Write clear and concise quotes based on detailed estimates. Maintain clear communication with Management, Drafting, Fabrication, Welding, Painting and Shipping departments as needed to stay informed of any issues impacting estimates. Proactively communicate with vendors, customers, and contractors throughout the estimating process.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Construction Management) -or- an Associate degree with relevant experience (e.g. 1-3 years industry knowledge in construction, fabrication or other mechanical/technical field). Strong proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word). Prior use and understanding of CAD (2D & 3D) and modeling software. Knowledge of steel suppliers and their standard and specialty products. Solid understanding of geometrical and trigonometric principles. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (blueprints).
