Description

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.

Summary: Assumes responsibility for routine, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs and extra assigned tasks, such as security and familiar with fire and disaster plans as directed by the Director of Engineering and/or Engineering Supervisors on all equipment associated with the routine operation of the Hospital's physical plant. This includes, but is not limited to, working with air handlers, air conditioners, air compressors, controls electrical and pneumatic, diesel engines, electric motors, electrical distribution, sterilizers, plumbing, pumps, vacuum pumps, boilers, chiller, and hospital equipment repair and service (wheel chairs, beds, stretchers, I.V. poles, etc.).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or High School G.E.D plus some trade school preferred but not required.

Experience: Minimum of three years boiler experience on High or Low Pressure Boilers and/or equivalent industrial mechanical experience with good working knowledge of pumps, fan systems, electrical and plumbing.
