    THE ROLE : The Field Technician Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of a project's scope while prioritizing safety, coordinating field operations, and working with the project manager. The Field Technician Supervisor will also supervise multiple teams and projects. The Field Technician Supervisor will contribute to team development and supporting administrative operations alongside the Field Delivery Manager.     CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Safety: To ensure that our team members adhere to all of the Xylem Safety training and protocols for each given task and have the necessary PPE to do so. Promotes a safety focused culture by submitting concern reports and/or near misses, being a safety ambassador, regularly auditing field sites for areas of improvement, and facilitating safety discussions with the team. Additionally, to ensure compliance with client's sites/facilities safety requirements.

    • Staff Leadership : Work with leadership to develop, support, supervise and coach multiple dotted lined reports (field personnel). Ensure staff adhere to established policies, procedures (safety, operational, equipment care/use, training, administrative), and stay in compliance with applicable regulations (such as DOT). Lead/facilitate operations team meetings to share updates with team.

    • Scope Delivery : Understands the contract and the scope of the project and is responsible to manage the delivery of most aspects of project scope safely and effectively. Works directly with project team to identify risks and mitigations early on to ensure the positive delivery of the scope, on schedule and under budget. Schedules and manages field staff in executing scope for the projects. Works with PM to ensure project close out on the operations side. When applicable, provides input during the proposal phase of projects.

    • Internal and External Communication : Keep internal stakeholders informed of project activities, as well as risk and mitigation strategies. Ensure the Program/Project Manager is informed of project related updates, safety, production reports, project related issues/scope creep. Will be required to interface with client operations and engineering groups during the planning, mobilization, execution, and post-inspection phases.

    • Quality Management : Responsible for effective quality assurance and quality control on all aspects of the project. Analyze project data, identify discrepancies, and develop and implement corrective actions. Ensure all client-facing documents are reviewed in detail prior to sending.

    • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

    • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organization needs

    QUALIFICATIONS :

    • GED or High School Diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • Must hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record. Ability to pass DOT Physical, background check, and drug screening.

    • Previous management and leadership experience. Demonstrated leadership qualities, including conflict and issue resolution, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and work well as part of a team.

    • Ability to work logically and systematically, with excellent time management skills

    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills plus the ability to think laterally while offering creative solutions. Ability to mitigate the negative impact of equipment-related issues, service, and breakdowns.

    • Must be proactive with a high level of attention to detail.

    • Flexibility and the ability to manage change.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and standard asset tracking systems/software.

    • IT literacy and the ability to handle electronic data: Competence in using smartphones, including app installation, basic settings, and mobile internet usage; Familiarity with cloud storage and basic usage of cloud-based applications and services; Understanding of email communication, including composing, sending, receiving, and managing emails; Skills in organizing and managing files and folders on a computer or other digital storage devices.

    • Understanding of As-Built Pipeline Drawings.

    DAY IN THE LIFE :

    In this role, the working environment is frequently outdoors and the Supervisor will spend up to 75% of their time in the field. The Supervisor will be required to work in varying weather conditions including high heat and extreme cold and will be required to lift up to 75lbs. In addition, this role may be required to travel up to 75% of the time to various field locations.

    SALARY :

    The estimated salary range for this position is $38/hr - $45/hr plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
