    This Finance Manager role is a part of the Accounting Operations team supporting the Cloud Infrastructure Strategy, Planning and Delivery (CISPD) team. You will partner with Microsoft stakeholders and external suppliers to bring exceptional operational results while delivering against our organization's top priorities. You will be expected to proactively work toward solutions and help others succeed through cross group collaboration, awareness of others, and adhering to policy and standards centering on accuracy, compliance, and risk management.

    Responsibilities

    • Govern the preparation and review of complex accounting records in compliance with accounting policies and guidelines. Analyze data trends through report and records interpretation for managers/stakeholders. Provide escalated support and troubleshooting to users. Investigate and resolve business partner inquiries, accounting deviations, and other data anomalies.

    • Research, review, and document accounting standards, guidelines, and policies. Field complex questions from business partners in alignment with accounting policies.

    • Implements and executes standard, global processes for key business activities. Manages continuous process improvement and identification of process optimization and/or automation opportunities by identifying, evaluating, and leveraging technology that could automate or speed up internal processes.

    • Serves as an escalation point of contact to resolve complex issues when governing vendors in a shared services environment. Conducts governance of multiple vendor teams using multiple metrics and service level agreements per the business process outsourcing model to ensure accuracy and compliance. Ensures the team adheres to policy and standards while driving on accuracy, compliance, and risk management. Facilitates issue resolution with leadership, business partners, team members, and vendor leadership.

    • Act as a trusted advisor by sharing subject matter expertise across multiple functions. Proactively manages changing priorities in a culture of continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    Required/Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience

    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience

    • OR equivalent experience.

    Additional or Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 5+ years accounting or finance experience

    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience

    • OR equivalent experience.

    • Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.

    Accounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $72,800 - $144,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $95,100 - $157,900 per year.
