Financial Reporting Manager

Description

We are in search of a Financial Reporting Manager in the retail industry, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves overseeing the global consolidation process for a multinational company, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data, and supporting the company's merger-and-acquisition activity.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the global consolidation process for the multinational company

• Oversee the monthly financial close, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data

• Develop and document process procedures following the implementation of Oracle

• Review and approve US GAAP adjusting entries to international subsidiary balances and transactions

• Assist in proper cash flow classification for monthly transactions

• Manage financial statement close process and key SOX controls

• Ensure accuracy of foreign currency translation adjustments

• Perform and review analytical procedures to assist in monthly validations and collaborate with local and foreign accounting teams to ensure data accuracy

• Assist in the completion of store level financial statements

• Control the intercompany elimination process, adjusting entries, and problem identification/resolution

• Review and recommend mapping assignments for new general ledger accounts and changes to mapping assignments between ledger systems

• Act as a resource for troubleshooting and research to assist segment controllers in their review and approval of monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses

• Support the company's merger-and-acquisition activity by ensuring integration of target companies' ledger systems and identifying potential roadblocks

• Ensure effective design of and compliance with internal controls and SOX compliance

• Coordinate with internal and external auditor teams as needed to support internal and external financial reporting.

Requirements - Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Director or Manager role in Financial Reporting within the Automotive industry.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.

• In-depth knowledge of Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Balance Sheet Account management.

• Familiarity with Compliance regulations and procedures in the Automotive industry.

• Proficiency in using Oracle for financial functions.

• Experience with SEC Reporting.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures.

• Demonstrated expertise in Financial Reporting.

• Experience in creating External Financial Reports.

• Proficient in Flux Analysis.

• Must have strong leadership, team management and communication skills.

• Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
