    PeaceHealth is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $22.15 - $33.22. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Coordinate system implementations for new operational divisions and provide oversight of standardization within the accounting department across all networks and communities. Coordinate cross functional work with IST, HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure that process flow is efficient. Develop, maintain, and upgrade accounting system/technology to support the timely, efficient, and accurate delivery of services to leaders, caregivers, and other customers. Analyze business systems, develop business requirement specifications, perform system testing, planning and implementations, in addition to administration, support and reports maintenance of accounting and related systems. Continually monitor information needs and design new or modify existing systems to meet changing requirements.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide reports and statements for all key stakeholders, and external resources as appropriate to ensure compliance as well as submitting them within established timeframes.

    • Responsible for developing enhancements, recommending changes, and implementing improvements.

    • Coordinate Accounting Services areas on any new software implementation. Serve as key contact for integration process for any acquisition or merger of any organization into the accounting functions of PeaceHealth. Coordinate all software testing and upgrade work for accounting software.

    • Act as a resource for Accounting Services, may attend meetings, and give presentations or updates on either a regional or system wide basis, as needed.

    • Assist with data requests for external audit and internal information requests

    • Provide oversight of standard chart of accounts for all networks in PeaceHealth.

    • Serve as a key stakeholder in all accounting and revenue system upgrades and implementations. Executes application testing, coordinates accounting user testing, works with accounting caregivers in developing test plans/scripts, implements, and evaluates new functionality. Ensures technical understanding enhancements and fixes being delivered by the vendor as part of their system maintenance programs.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field required OR equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience, required.

    EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

    • Minimum of three years' experience in accounting, auditing or accounting systems analysis in a healthcare environment required.

    • Experience with Lawson, MHC, EPIC highly desired.

    • Report writer experience desired.

    • Previous experience consulting on Accounting and/or Finance.

    OTHER SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of accounting theories and principles

    • Lawson experience preferred

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Healthcare accounting experience is desired.

    • Ability to work long hours during critical times

    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently

    • Strong working knowledge of standard computer software, such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

    PHYSICAL / COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.

    • Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.

    • Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.

    • Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
