    This role is part of Hill's Digital Transformation Team responsible for driving and enabling greater eCommerce business performance. Hill's Pet Nutrition is looking for a Front-End Developer with an emphasis in design and user experience to become a contributing member of our growing commerce team. The ideal candidate should have professional experience designing and implementing user friendly digital experiences for use across multiple device platforms. We are looking for a candidate that can open up the boundaries, discover new opportunities and inspire other team members to bring new, creative design solutions.

    What you'll do

    • Front-End Web Design and Development

    • Lead and create best in class digital experiences for brand and ecommerce websites, mobile apps, social content experiences, digital media assets, email campaigns and/or our blog/content hub

    • Lead our team as the front-end development expert for Shopify and our headless vendor of choice, ~~~ (Javascript, ~~~ and ~~~)

    • Pair-up with our lead digital designer to translate abstract concepts into visually pleasing designs and bring them to life across our owned digital touchpoints

    • Bring best-in-class UX/UI to our brand platforms and optimize/improve our digital properties.

    • Be able to work independently and handle multiple projects at the same time in an Agile environment

    • Work efficiently with 3rd party vendors and developers to create, develop, and maintain visually compelling web pages

    • Keep current with emerging web design trends and technologies through relevant blogs, community forums, industry events, conferences, etc

    • Ecommerce and DTC Expertise

    • Work hand in hand with our ecommerce, digital marketing and social media teams to develop engaging content that brings the brands to life across channels

    • Participate in usability tests on interface design to insure cross-browser and device compatibility

    • Drive best-practices and documentation in support of processes

    • Operate with a good sense of purpose and be able to freely operate to bring new experiences to life

    • Collaboration and Leadership

    • Interface, communicate and coordinate as a part of a collaborative, multi-functional team to meet business objectives and deadlines

    • Collaborate with internal partners in relevance to online commerce requirements

    • Give expert dev advice on how to best bring creative into our projects and make recommendations for improving our online presence as a whole

    Who you are

    • Strong visualization and design skills, with the ability to bring it to life

    • Possess a creative mind with the ability to think outside of the box

    • Ability to provide the team with new ideas, asking questions to understand business needs

    • Able to handle constructive feedback and offer creative solutions to complex design problems

    • Ability to work with various asset management systems, shopping cart systems and ecommerce platforms

    • Be proficient with image editing software

    • Proficient in Adobe CS applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver, etc.)

    • Excellent oral/written communication and organizational skills

    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize responsibilities accordingly

    Required Qualifications

    • 3+ years professional experience in building websites web/graphic design experience

    • Experience developing for Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms

    • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript and CSS

    • Javascript development language with expertise in ~~~, PHP, SQL

    • Knowledgeable in the consumer packaged goods industry and/or retail ecommerce

    • Experience supporting A/B testing

    • Experience working with digital marketing teams (SEO, etc), agencies and tech teams

    • Understanding various customer journeys (working closely with the CX & UX teams)

    • Knowledge of B2B2C and/or DTC models

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience using Direct to Consumer platforms such as Shopify

    • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) a plus

    • Hands on experience with Ruby

    • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, web development or related creative field or equivalent combination of Web design skills and professional work experience

    • Experience working in the CPG,Retail or Commerce industries

    Salary Range $100,000 - $131,250 USD

    Pay is based on several non discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to your salary, Colgate-Palmolive

    offers a performance based bonus and competitive benefits package.
