  • The University of Virginia's School of Nursing seeks a qualified researcher with a neuroscience focus (including research related to Alzheimer's, autism, or other brain research) who would be eligible for the rank of full professor in a tenured line, with an anticipated start date as early as January 2024.

    As a teacher and scholar, the successful candidate will shape and advance the understanding of brain function across the lifespan through the integration of neuroscience research into clinical practice, education, and/or health policy. This position will be a leader in contributing to the school's strategic priorities, which include building the Areas of Excellence in research (~~~/) and our commitments to interdisciplinary collaboration as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion. The faculty member will play an important part in collaboratively strengthening and expanding our research infrastructure within the School of Nursing and broader University of Virginia community.

    Candidates must be eligible for licensure to practice nursing in Virginia, hold a doctorate in nursing or a related field, and be eligible for the rank of full professor. The committee will consider candidates who would be tenured and who possess a progressive and successful track record of neuroscience research.
