    Key Responsibilities:

    Responsible for overall direction of United Airline's airport operations in defined region. Directs GUM/SPN airport operations activities. Establishes or implements goals and standards, service levels, costs, and safety requirements which includes coordinating with airport authorities and other government-sponsored entities to security checkpoint and baggage screening requirements in accordance with U.S. TSA security directives, mandates and GSC responsibilities. Monitors all performance against plans and initiates corrective actions to improve results. Resolves and rationalizes equipment, facilities, staffing and training needs to achieve station operations goals and fulfills all landlord responsibilities. Leads community engagement activities as United is the largest employer on Guam.

    • Responsible for day-to-day operational performance of assigned international outstation. Maintains a safe, clean and reliable operation. Acts as Chief Safety Advocate for the subregion, and directs the airport operational activities for all airport lines of service including customer service, ramp service, and station control center/operations. Ensures that station safety goals and initiatives are met.

    • Directs station activities to ensure outstanding customer service, which includes mainline and STAR Alliance partner airlines. Leads the focus on customer satisfaction & continuous improvement activities and initiatives.

    • Responsible for performance management and ongoing professional developmental support of team members. Coaches and mentors new leaders including managers and representatives.

    • Responsible for maintaining a positive employee relations work environment and collaborative relationships with applicable labor groups. Maintain strong working relationships with OAL, airport authorities, vendors, government authorities (FAA / TSA / CBP), internal divisions, and labor union. Represents United Airlines for airport activities to local government and airport authority, along with relevant USA agencies such as TSA international field offices, U.S. aviation security representatives, FAA, and aviation organizations such as ICAO, IATA, airline committees, etc.

    • Maintains station facilities, equipment, and professional appearance standards for all United and vendor employees.

    • Responsible for compliance with Stations controls and Internal Audit standards.

    • Owns the station budget, staffing forecasts and resource requirements. Provides budgetary oversight for all aspects of the subregion's Airport Operations (AO) finances in coordination with plan/forecast.

    • Lead and negotiate vendor service contracts as required. Coordinates the implementation of contract services & vendor relationships as applicable.

    • Ensures that corporate and divisional messages are clearly communicated to station employees and vendor representatives as well as closely followed.

    Qualifications

    What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience

    • 8 - 10 years of leadership experience in an airport services environment or equivalent experience

    • Familiarity of Union contracts/work council requirements.

    • Knowledge of airport operations to include hub operations, terminal / ramp operations and ATO, and related technology.

    • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environment.

    • Knowledge of station controls and Internal Audit standards.

    • Analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performance.

    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.

    • Proven ability to develop and empower personnel.
