As a Grant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial aspects of our grant-funded projects.     Responsibilities

    • Grant Financial Management: Manage all financial aspects of grant-funded projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

    • Budget Development: Collaborate with project managers and program directors to develop grant budgets that align with project goals and objectives.

    • Grant Compliance: Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines, including reporting requirements and allowable expenses.

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for grantors, stakeholders, and internal management.

    • Expense Monitoring: Monitor grant expenditures to ensure they are within budget and in accordance with grant guidelines.

    • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to grant finances.

    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement in grant-funded projects.

    • Grant Closeout: Facilitate the closeout process for grant-funded projects, including final reporting and reconciliation of project finances.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    • At least 2 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management.

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    • Familiarity with grant regulations and compliance requirements.

    • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or government grants.
