    Under limited supervision, the Grant and Contract Coordinator will coordinate and/or manage the following distinct grant programs:

    • Live Well at Home®

    • Customized Living, Adult Protection

    • Age Friendly

    • Eldercare Development Partnership

    This position will also act as an expert resource on grant and contract management. Coordination/management of these grant programs requires this position to provide oversight and management of contracts with organizations and partners across Minnesota. Due to the nature of these grant programs, this position must also coordinate with tribal and local communities as well as other state agencies to ensure effective grant and contract management.

    Responsibilities include

    • Serves in an expert capacity regarding grant and contract management

    • Provide oversight and consultation to staff members throughout the division by:

    • Developing and managing the processes associated with grant management

    • Ensuring these processes are compliant with state and agency requirements

    • Provide consultation regarding Requests for Proposals (RFPs), contracts and contract negotiations, the Contracts Integration System (CIS), as well as contract-related accounting, budgeting, reporting, and other functions of the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) accounting system

    Minimum Qualifications:

    3 years professional experience with grant administration and contract development. Experience must demonstrate the following:

    • Financial management, financial analysis and budgeting policies and practices sufficient to prepare or direct preparation of, review and analyze grants budgets and internal fiscal documents

    • Contract language, development, and legality

    • Bachelor degree in gerontology, public health, social work, human services or related field may substitute for 1 year of experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Accounting, reporting, and grant program database systems (ex: Contract Integration System, Foundant Grant Lifecycle Manager)

    • State laws, statutes, and regulations sufficient to develop major statewide planning grants programs

    • Methods and processes surrounding the development of Requests for Proposals

    • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and/or cultures
