Our work depends on an HCM/HRIS Solution Architect joining our team to provide business and technical architectural guidance to development teams, business groups, and customers for existing and new products & services. The HCM/HRIS Solution Architect will assist with developing adoption strategies, business concepts and technical capabilities that maximize customer value while differentiating GDIT from their competition in the marketplace.

    HOW AN HCM/HRIS SOLUTION ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Consult with stakeholders and others to determine optimum technical and functional design for a wide variety of complex and diverse projects by helping to shape requirements, analyze alternatives and provide recommendations

    • Remain current on industry trends and emerging technologies, including the evolving roadmaps for existing HR systems, to inform the continuous evolution of the HR technology strategy and roadmap

    • Partner with leadership to negotiate competing projects and priorities with short- and long-term focus/impacts

    • Serve as an advisor to stakeholders and generate recommendations in the form of briefings, reports and other major documents appropriate for senior leadership

    • Engage in the external benchmarking activities and communicate with broader IT architecture teams to align products or services with the general technology environment and strategies

    • Ensure IT solutions comply with technology and data standards and fit within the overall IT Enterprise architecture at GDIT

    • Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and work with leadership, functional, and technical resources to recommend improvements

    • Provide enterprise architecture deliverables such as systems information diagrams, security requirements and configuration specifications

    • Ensure technical delivery teams provide efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives.

    • Enable application rationalization, and configuration simplification through identification of opportunities to leverage systems and investments across business areas and territories

    • Define a concept of operations and the procedures and tools required to enable delivery of products and services

    • Provide updates to stakeholders and leadership in comparison to stakeholder objectives

    • Prepare and present technical presentations and analyst briefings

    • Support Project Manager(s) in defining project tasks, timeline, level of effort and priority

    • Research, identify and recommend resources required for task execution and completion

    • Provide expert guidance and mentoring leadership to others

    • Recognized as an industry leader or highly proficient in core HRIS technologies including experience with enterprise SaaS services and providers

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience and training

    • 10+ years of experience related to HRIS applications and information systems, including at least 3+ years of Workday specific experience

    • A strong background in enterprise HCM including Workday and other HRIS application architectures and relevant industry trends and best practices. Experience with two or more Workday modules including Data Analytics, Core HR, Compensation and Benefits, Recruiting, Talent Management and Performance Management.

    • Current Workday Pro and/or current or prior Workday Partner certifications preferred, but not required.

    • Understanding of other IT architecture and sophisticated integrations

    • Understanding of standard project methodologies regarding project initiation, current state analysis, future state design, implementation and project transition/close; experience with one or more project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Waterfall) preferred

    • Prior Workday implementation (initial and Phase X) and post-production experience

    • Experience with process design including: e.g. conducting design workshops and stakeholder requirements interviews; prior Project Management and/or experience leading technical solutioning preferred

    • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship management and negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations to senior and executive leadership

    • Business partnership communication and engagement skills, including continuous feedback solicitation and delivery from IT and stakeholder resources

    • Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and implementation

    • Ability to negotiate a myriad of technical landscapes (e.g., Workday, Eightfold AI) without much initial direction

    • Demonstrated familiarity with one or more operational business functions such as Finance and/or Human Resources; previous functional experience in one or more operational disciplines highly preferred

    • Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Governance or other emerging technologies preferred, but not required

    • Location: Hybrid preferred, remote considered (based on proximity to GDIT office location)
