    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Extracts, aggregates and QA applicable data from multiple sources and tables for providing actionable insights to improve clinical outcomes, lower total cost of care and improve the consumer experience.

    • Assist in leading complex analytic projects leveraging data from multiple sources

    • Understand and apply highly technical specifications to healthcare datasets

    • Performs statistical analyses to determine effectiveness of clinical programs (e.g. pre-post analysis, ROI studies)

    • Multitask, prioritize, adapt to change in an entrepreneurial environment, communicate deadlines and results, and manage a project from start to finish

    • Identify and implement appropriate analytic approaches and methodologies

    • Design, produce, and support development of financial and operational dashboards and key performance indicator reports to meet customer requirements

    • Conduct ad hoc analysis and solve complex data issues, provide consultative advice and summarize analytic findings

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Finance or Health Administration or related field

    • 2+years of experience using Python to conduct data analysis

    • 2+ years of experience using SQL query techniques to access rational databases and using SQL as an analytic tool

    • 1+ years of experience working in healthcare analytics

    • Experience working in an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment or multiple source data warehouse

    • Expertise in MS Excel with proficiency using formulas and PivotTables

    • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in supporting clinical and/or finance partners through an analytics focused role, including forecasting techniques

    • Knowledge of healthcare administrative data (medical claims, enrollment, provider data)

    • Proficiency with SAS, R, SPSS, STATA and/or other statistical programs

    • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based query applications

    • Proven solid analytical expertise to include data analysis, statistical analysis, data manipulation, data extraction, and/or reporting

    • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision

    California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
