    DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES POSITION SUMMARY

    The Director of Human Resources plans and coordinates the Human Resources administrative functions of VitalCore Health Strategies. This position is directly responsible for the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, recruitment, employment Law compliance, safety and delivery and execution of policies and procedures. The Director of Human Resources must lead by example, adhering to all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by VitalCore Health Strategies.

    DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

    • Assists in payroll process, tracking overtime, and ensuring scheduling compliance.

    • Understands and follows company and legal pay rule guidelines.

    • Manage recruiting, interviewing, and selection of candidates for multiple locations in Massachusetts.

    • Ensures new employee orientation are planned and conducted to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

    • Keeps records of benefit plan participation such as insurance and pension plans, personnel transactions such as: new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government and DOC reporting.

    • Leads HR and Safety Training for management and associates.

    • Advises management in appropriate resolution for employee relations issues and consults with Chief Human Resources Officer for escalated situations.

    • Prepares and delivers presentations and training, as needed, to managers and other regarding training requirements, payroll processes (ADP) and human resources policy issues.

    • Provides weekly updates to Corporate Human Resources Human Resources.

    • Attend required meetings and trainings. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier for work comp.

    • Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

    • Manage Human Resources Budget in the Regional Office.

    • Consults with Chief Human Resources Officer on strategic organizational development plans for the company.

    • Monitors and provides guidance for employee counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.

    • Advises corporate Human Resources regarding hiring decisions, equal employment opportunity, compensation, benefits, and health/safety issues.

    • Maintain employee personnel files at the Regional Office.

    • Verifies employee personnel files to ensure federal and state compliance, complete reference check, criminal background check, and professional license check.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human resources, or other comparable degree and minimum 5 years of experience, required.
    • PHR or SPHR certification desirable.
    • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Outlook.

    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

    • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
    • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
    • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
