POSITION TITLE: Independently Licensed Mental Health and SUD Therapist
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Valley Counseling Services
REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor
SCHEDULE: Full time – 40 hours per week
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To provide mental health and substance use disorder services to children, adults and/or seniors at Valley Counseling Services. This position will work in a traditional outpatient office, home-based or telehealth settings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct behavioral health assessments in the office or home setting with children, adults and seniors.
- Develop, implement, and update Individual Service Plans with the client in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure.
- Provide psychotherapy/counseling services to clients and families through individual, group, and/or family methods.
- Review and update progress, and diagnoses in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure to ensure continued provision of proper and necessary services.
- Maintain client records in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure.
- At a minimum, achieve and maintain the Agency's established productivity standards.
- Make referrals to other services within the community and within the Agency as indicated.
- Provide Care Coordination to the Medicare population.
- Assist the Clinical Supervisor with internship and training opportunities for LISW candidates.
- Maintain current knowledge of all applicable F&CS policies/procedures and function according to these standards,
- Comply with COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge in the implementation of current diagnostic standards.
- Experience providing substance use disorder therapy required.
- Experiencing working with children, adults and seniors required.
- Experience providing care coordination to Medicare recipients required.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
- Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree required. Currently holds a LISW in the State of Ohio, LISW-S is preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in providing mental health and substance use treatment with children, adults and seniors is required.
