    POSITION TITLE: Independently Licensed Mental Health and SUD Therapist

    DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Valley Counseling Services

    REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor

    SCHEDULE: Full time – 40 hours per week

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: To provide mental health and substance use disorder services to children, adults and/or seniors at Valley Counseling Services. This position will work in a traditional outpatient office, home-based or telehealth settings.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Conduct behavioral health assessments in the office or home setting with children, adults and seniors.

      1. Develop, implement, and update Individual Service Plans with the client in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure.

      1. Provide psychotherapy/counseling services to clients and families through individual, group, and/or family methods.

      1. Review and update progress, and diagnoses in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure to ensure continued provision of proper and necessary services.

      1. Maintain client records in accordance with OAC standards and F&CS policy/procedure.

      1. At a minimum, achieve and maintain the Agency's established productivity standards.

      1. Make referrals to other services within the community and within the Agency as indicated.

      1. Provide Care Coordination to the Medicare population.

      1. Assist the Clinical Supervisor with internship and training opportunities for LISW candidates.

      1. Maintain current knowledge of all applicable F&CS policies/procedures and function according to these standards,

      1. Comply with COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

      1. Other duties as assigned.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      1. Knowledge in the implementation of current diagnostic standards.

      1. Experience providing substance use disorder therapy required.

      1. Experiencing working with children, adults and seniors required.

      1. Experience providing care coordination to Medicare recipients required.

      1. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

      1. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check.

      MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree required. Currently holds a LISW in the State of Ohio, LISW-S is preferred.

      MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience in providing mental health and substance use treatment with children, adults and seniors is required.
