  • Overview and Essential Functions

    Ervin Cable Construction is seeking a talented IT Support Specialist to join our team and help us take our operations to the next level.

    A successful IT Support Specialist shall install modify, and make minor repairs to computer hardware, software, and mobile device systems; provide technical assistance and training to system users; produce timely and accurate summary reports to ensure close monitoring of the progress of assigned projects; analyze data, ascertain trends and identify variances. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of office and database software; ability to use a computer, mobile devices, and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy.

    60% TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.

    In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by traning or experience:

    • the ability to work safely, with or without supervision;

    • the ability to grasp and understand business concepts and issues;

    • the ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information;

    • the ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties;

    • excellent manual dexterity;

    • the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including, senior management and business associates;

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience.

    • Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)

    • Advanced proficiency in assigned function, example; (Accounting, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Project Management, etc.)

    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage processes effectively and apply expertise to ensure completion of work assignments.

    • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of processes or procedures.

    • Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist assigned department/project.

    • Read, interpret, input, and analyze data in support of an assigned department/project.
