  • Line Maintenance Technician

    General Summary:

    JBS USA Foods Company, currently operates two Hawker Beechcraft 800XPs based at the Greeley/Weld County airport and one Gulfstream 550 currently based at the Loveland/Fort Collins airport. The mission of the Air Transportation Department is to provide safe and efficient air transportation service to employees and customers who work and conduct business directly with the company to meet business objectives. The Aircraft Line Maintenance Technician responsibility is to perform aircraft line maintenance on all aspects of the JBS USA Foods aircraft based at the Greeley, CO, and Fort Collins CO airport. To ensure that all JBS USA Foods aircraft based at Greeley and Fort Collins airports are professionally maintained in accordance with industry and FAA standards and JBS USA Foods flight department policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Performing all aircraft Inspection Programs and Scheduled/Unscheduled maintenance

    2. Tracking and monitoring inspections and maintenance will be achieved using the current aircraft maintenance programs.

    3. Support the Chief of Maintenance in maintaining all airframe and engine maintenance program records including the engine maintenance service program (MSP) and any aircraft maintenance warranty program.

    4. Routine and lite inspection is to be performed in-house when possible.

    5. Ability to accompany all JBS USA aircraft on maintenance performed away from the aircraft's home maintenance base, as needed.

    6. All aircraft returning from scheduled trips will be received for maintenance post flight inspections and crew maintenance debriefing. Occasionally maintenance personnel will be required to assist in dispatching JBS USA Foods and JBS South American (SA) aircraft.

    7. Annual Maintenance Department Budget and Tracking of Expenditures

    8. Assist the Chief of Maintenance with tracking maintenance expenditures including obtaining all necessary expenditure approvals from the Aviation Department Manager.

    9. Daily Aircraft Operations

    10. Normal work schedule is 8:00AM to 5:00PM daily or as determined by the Chief of Maintenance to ensure that all JBS aircraft are airworthy and prepared to accommodate the next day's flight schedule.

    11. Assisting with aircraft departures and arrival on an as needed basis.

    12. Assisting with aircraft fueling as needed.

    13. Towing aircraft in and out of hangar.

    14. Assisting with aircraft cleaning and stocking operations.

    15. Must be able to respond promptly to any unscheduled home base or trip maintenance issues.

    16. Hangar Facility and Grounds Management

    17. Oversee hangar weekly inspections of interior and exterior.

    18. Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance.

    19. Oversee ramp and parking lot snow removal.

    20. Oversee lawn and grounds maintenance.

    21. Monitor hangar vehicles for routine maintenance, servicing, fueling, and cleaning requirements may be assigned.

    Other duties may be assigned.

    Principal Challenges and Complexity:

    Balancing required maintenance down time with a busy flight schedule can be daunting for the best aircraft maintenance technician. As flight schedules change a maintenance technician must be flexible and incisive, taking advantage of when the aircraft is not in service to perform inspections and maintenance. Planning heavy maintenance is especially difficult when attempting to estimate the future usage of the aircraft and many times adjusting scheduled maintenance times with hourly and calendar inspection requirements requires a great deal of preparation.

    Licenses, Knowledge and Experience

    • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate

    • Active FAA Maintenance Inspectors Authorization preferred.

    • Minimum of a high school degree with five years' experience working in Corporate Aviation Maintenance and a minimum of three years' experience of maintenance on turbine powered aircraft, preferably on Hawker and Gulfstream products.

    Maintenance Training: Annual maintenance training is required and will be provide for by JBS USA Foods

    The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

    • Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

    • Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

    • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

    • Base salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 ; and

    • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
