    The Software Enterprise Division at Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking a highly qualified Junior candidates that have a strong interest and experience in 3D development to design, implement, and/or improve new and existing 3D visualization capabilities in a multi-platform environment for the Intelligence and Defense communities. The team is developing enterprise-level decision support tools used by intelligence analyst and warfighters that rely on 3D geospatial data visualization and content creation. In this role, you will assist senior software engineers as part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of engineers and scientists to deliver cutting edge capabilities that solve problems of national importance.

    Junior 3D MultiPlatform Developer Responsibilities:

    The ideal candidate will have an active interest in applying 3D concepts to develop desktop, web, and mobile applications. The candidate should be familiar with rendering 3D content, understand best practices of 3D visualization development and the principles of continuous integration and delivery. The candidate should demonstrate a hands-on approach to problem solving and must be willing to actively participate in evaluation of algorithms and system performance.

    Junior 3D MultiPlatform Developer Required Developer Qualifications:

    • US Citizenship (Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)

    • BS in Computer Science or a related field along with 0-2 years relevant work experience

    • Strong foundation in software development and experience with Python, Java, and/or C++ Experience with 3D graphics libraries such as OpenSceneGraph or BabylonJS and knowledge of graphics APIs like OpenGL, WebGL, Vulkan, or WebGPU

    • Proficient with 3D mathematics including linear algebra (vector math, matrices, quaternions)

    Junior 3D MultiPlatform Developer Additional Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience with web-based 3D graphics (WebGL, BabylonJS, ThreeJS, etc)

    • Experience building and deploying multiplatform software (WebAssembly, ElectronJS, Babylon Native, QtWebEngine)

    • Ability and desire to quickly learn new domains

    • Experience working on intelligence and DoD programs
