    Verdantas is seeking a talented Land Development Staff Engineer II to join our team. The position is hybrid and is located in our Wilkes-Barre, PA or Lehigh Valley, PA office.

    The ideal candidate will join our high-performing and technology-forward engineering design team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of an energetic and collaborative team of highly technical civil engineers, working with the latest CAD and automated design processes across many different market sectors in the United States.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist Project Managers with technical/civil engineering for commercial/industrial site design and/or linear utilities for energy and water suppliers

    • Perform technical engineering work associated with land development and/or water resources:

    • Stormwater management design

    • Site grading

    • Erosion and sediment control design

    • Prepare plans for agency/municipal review

    • Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications

    • Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors

    • Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand

    • Candidates should have a strong desire to grow and advance as an engineer or technical designers

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

    • 2-5 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering design

    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D a plus

    • Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software

    • Knowledge of green infrastructure practices, such as bioretention systems, permeable pavement, infiltration systems, and green roofs

    • Familiarity with ArcGIS software is a plus

    • Must have a personal vehicle for transportation

    • Must be able to pass a background check to be considered
