    Job Summary

    Assist the Manager with operational needs pertaining to Grant Accounting including supervision and training. This includes review and approval of budget and cost transfers, as well as managing a portfolio of grants including billing, financial reporting, monitoring accounts receivable, and billing set-up for all contracts/awards.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review and approval of all budget and cost transfers.

    • Complete billing set-up for all contracts/awards including financial milestones and Fixed Price billing events.

    • Manage a portfolio of awards including billing, financial reporting, and monitoring of accounts receivable balances.

    • Supervision of AR Accountant, Billing Coordinator, and student employees.

    • Provide training to GCA staff. Correspond with outside granting agencies, University Grants and Contracts department, as well as PIs and administrative staff.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with four (4) years of experience in Governmental or Commercial Accounting.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in higher education.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Knowledge of People Soft financials.
