    Description and Requirements

    Role Value Proposition:

    The Lead Collaboration Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining collaboration solutions that enable effective communication and collaboration across MetLife. The Lead Collaboration Engineer is responsible for driving the design and implementation of collaboration solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and meet user needs. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, vendors, and business stakeholders, in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of collaboration solutions, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, Video Conferencing technologies, Cisco Webex, and Virtual Whiteboarding technologies.

    • Develop and maintain architecture and infrastructure for collaboration platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

    • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand collaboration needs and provide strategic recommendations for technology solutions.

    • Establish and enforce collaboration standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.

    • Oversee the integration of collaboration tools with other enterprise systems and applications.

    • Monitor and analyze collaboration tool usage and performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

    • Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

    • Lead and mentor a team of collaboration engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

    • Stay current with emerging collaboration technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and driving adoption where appropriate.

    • Provide technical leadership and guidance in resolving complex collaboration-related issues.

    Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in collaboration engineering.

    • Strong technical expertise in collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Video Conferencing, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and Miro.

    • Experience with cloud-based collaboration solutions and integration with enterprise systems.

    • Knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure principles as they relate to collaboration technologies.

    • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology initiatives.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and efficient solutions.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred:

    • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in collaboration engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

    • Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Experience with Microsoft Azure
