  • GENERAL PURPOSE

    Architects, designs, develops, implements, and supports various components for the enterprise data warehouse and associated data sources. Leads efforts to build and maintain enterprise data systems, ensure high quality and integrity of data, and drive data initiatives that enable business objectives. Mentors staff, demonstrates best practices, and works on projects that support Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing functions as assigned.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Designs and builds scalable and efficient data architectures for enterprise systems and databases. Develops roadmaps, architectures, and data models. Leads data modeling, database design, and metadata management. Monitors data quality and develops processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of data assets. Identifies root causes of data issues.

    2. Works with the user community and reporting team to understand business data and data transformation requirements. Converts requirements to functional/technical specifications for database and integration design.

    3. Develops data integration and transformation processes across on premise and cloud data sources.

    4. Leads data integration and transformation processes across on premise and cloud data sources.

    5. Collaborates with other team members using scrum processes or other project management disciplines. Follows best practices for change and code management. Provides supporting technical documentation.

    6. Participates in ongoing stabilization. Collaborates across technology, product, and business teams to understand data needs and designs solutions that enable business goals. Attends webinars, reads case studies and white papers. Participates in opportunities to further refine skills and stay apprised on functional area topics. Maintains current knowledge of technology, equipment, and/or systems and advises on newer technologies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.

    • 7 years of related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience with data architecture patterns and distributed systems (e.g. Hadoop, Spark) required.

    • Extensive hands-on experience with data warehouses, ETL processes, and data modeling required.

    • Project experience with data warehouse design, dimensional data models and ETL technologies required.

    • Experience with service-oriented architecture and enterprise information integration preferred.

    • Experience with integrating data warehouses with business intelligence metadata tools preferred.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Ability to actively participate and collaborate on a team.

    • Excellent written communication skills.

    • Ability to translate functional business requirements into documented system requirements and designs.

    • Knowledge of Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence lifecycles.

    • In depth understanding and development experience using SQL, Pl/SQL and UNIX scripting languages with SQL based databases (Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.

    • Knowledge of Health Care EHR systems and/or Health care industry data experience preferred.

    • Epic Cogito Data Model(s) obtained within first year of employment required.

    • Denodo Architecture Training and Certification obtained within first year of employment required.

    Pay Range

    Pay Range: $95,306 - $142,979 Annually

    The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
