    Position Summary

    Support the company's efforts related to Medicaid strategy by managing vendor relationships, external memberships, partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships, as well as conferences and external events.Amplify the profiles and perspectives of our executive leadership, plan presidents, and other internal subject matter experts as well as our growth objectives through conferences, communications, and other mediums.Support our community development and SCI's distribution across all markets in preparation for bids and develop partnerships that meaningful align with Aetna Medicaid's benchmark strategic standards and objectives and that differentiate the business's response to RFPs, RFA, and RFIs, among other opportunities.Assist leadership in the development and management of departmental budget, national strategic community investments, and national consulting contracts, as well as other related and ad hoc responsibilities.Lead the Aetna Medicaid National Advisory Council, developing strategic plans and initiatives to inform our company's customer engagement and guide the development of next generation Medicaid platforms and innovations.Participate as an active reviewer and contributor during select phases of the proposal development process.

    Partner closely with Aetna Better Health plans, state strategies and growth team, and other cross-functional colleagues to advance market growth opportunities, including but not limited to Marketing, Community Development, Communications, and Corporate Events colleagues.

    Direct the evaluation, review, negotiations and ongoing management of product-specific contracts and amendments between health plan and vendors Work with business development and providers to develop a strategy for developing new networks including plans to meet network access and unit cost objectives Determine necessary resources to develop the network and assemble the appropriate team across all business functions

    Complete development of budget in alignment with (company) network management and financial objectives Support the new business launch in diverse markets while considering individual market circumstances, provider community, budgeting constraints and available resources Monitor performance, develop, and implement business solutions to address process and quality gaps

    Communicate with senior management and other (company) leaders regarding network strategy and planning Complete negotiations with complex and major provider contracts as needed to support network objectives

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience

    3 years of related contracting or healthcare operations experience

    Experience establishing new markets including the development of the strategy and oversight of the implementation

    Strong communication skills dealing with multiple levels within the organization and with the provider community

    50% travel REQUIRED

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $100,000.00 - $231,500.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
