    Shift: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm

    Position Purpose: Driver Check-In Lead fulfills a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our warehouse receiving, stocking, and order selecting departments are our customers first line of defense to ensure product integrity to our customer. This is done by making sure the customers' products are accurate and in good condition, once delivered. Building a lasting relationships with our customers! As a Warehouse Check-In Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring product disposition is accounted for correctly. This is done by actively, safely, and independently maintaining the efficient flow of products through our distribution process into our inventory dry room department, while ensuring quality standards.

    Primary Responsibilities : As the Driver Check-In Lead, you will be responsible for determining correct disposition of product that is brought to the designated WCI. Then checking in product from the operations, procurement, food safety and inventory teams into the dry room department for processing. Additionally you will communicate and interacts with department's supervisors, managers, and warehouse associates professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

    Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

    • Partnering with the dry-room to repack product that is brought to the WCI location

    • Determining proper disposition is made on product brought to WCI.

    • Example: Damages, spoilages, good product

    • Reconcile the POD Bin bin daily. Items cannot exceed 24 hrs.

    • Providing daily reports/scorecard

    • Documenting all damages/Spoils in DCI/email to dry-room, supervisor, manager

    • Verify all Driver dispatch schedules daily/report findings to Manager, supervisor, trans department

    • Scan all driver load list daily

    • Send out daily recap of job duties completed/Issues, etc. to Manager, All Inventory Supervisors

    • Assisting operations in locating and pulling any recalled product initiated by food safety or procurement

    • Assist slotting team when necessary

    • Maintains a high level of attention to detail by ensuring that proper attention is given to all areas including, but not limited to; balers, aisles, racking, floors, door pits, and other areas as assigned.

    • Maintains inventory integrity by adhering to system processes.

    • Performs end of shift tasks such as: charging power equipment and verifying completed work.

    • Maintains orderly workstation; return supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.

    • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.

    Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.

    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) certificate.

    • 1 to 3 years of warehouse experiences, with 1 to 2 years of some supervisory experience.

    • Intermediate knowledge of warehouse management systems, email systems, and Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.)

    • Ability to perform administrative work; including data entry and paperwork processing

    • Ability to communicate effectively

    • Intermediate mechanical and mathematical skills.

    • Ability to disperse information to the company and across the warehouse

    • Ability to analyze data, review the operations information, and make suggested changes.

    • Ability to be able to get certified to operate powered industrial vehicles.

    • Ability to learn and use electronic warehouse management software.

    • Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.

    • Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.

    • Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.

    • Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.

    • May require the ability to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.

    • Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

    • 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience

    • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
