    Electrical/Software - Ultrasound Transducer Test Engineer.

    Job Description

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain, and improve, existing test systems to meet production workflow requirements.

    • Maintain, and improve, test system hardware/software and supporting database(s) as required.

    • Setup, validate, and document new products for test.

    • Formally document changes and software/hardware validations in compliance with BK Medical's quality system.

    • Formal and timely communication to the management team on test system availability.

    • Understand, measure, and improve test system measurement capabilities.

    • Create, edit, and approve test engineering changes, work instructions, deviations, and other documentation as required.

    • Formally document new board and test fixture designs.

    • Provide direct input to manufacturing procedures according to internal and external requirements.

    • Respond when needed to manufacturing emergencies to quickly identify and remediate issues.

    • Work with design teams, quality assurance, planning, manufacturing, purchasing, and suppliers to determine root causes and implement solutions.

    • Formally and timely communication to the management team on project status.

    Qualifications:

    • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

    • A Bachelors Degree in an Electrical/Software Engineering with 5+ years of experience or Master of Science Degree with 2 years of experience or related discipline and 8+ years' practical experience highly desired

    • Experience in test software development.

    • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (OrCAD/Cadence Allegro or equivalent)

    • Project management ability including development of project scope and timelines.

    • Experience in a FDA, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environment

    • Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment

    Knowledge and skills

    • Software architecture and development. LabVIEW, TestStand, VB, C#, TP, Vee, MATLAB, and SQL experience

    • Knowledge of robotics and coordinate systems.

    • Must be able to communicate and interact successfully with all levels of the organization.

    • Must have the ability to generate written communication that is clear and concise, to lead a discussion among colleagues as well as provide formal presentations to management.

    • A proven track record in working with cross-functional development teams is a must.

    • Ability to use a statistical approach when analyzing and evaluating alternatives to manufacturing issues.

    • Bring energy and enthusiasm to each day's effort.

    • Must be able to work independently/self-motivated.
