    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist physical therapists in providing treatments and procedures
    • Follow treatment plans developed by physical therapists for patients
    • Perform therapeutic interventions, such as massage, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation, under the supervision of a physical therapist
    • Observe and report on patients' responses and progress to physical therapists
    • Assist patients with exercises and activities as directed by the physical therapist
    • Help patients to use therapy equipment correctly and safely
    • Provide education and guidance on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs
    • Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and equipment
    • Prepare treatment areas with necessary supplies and equipment before therapy sessions
    • Transport patients to and from the treatment area as necessary
    • Perform clerical duties, such as scheduling appointments and documenting treatment in patient records
    • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and practices
    • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation
    • Provide support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions
    • Collaborate with the physical therapy team to discuss treatment plans and patient progress
    • Comply with federal and state laws and regulations as well as professional ethical standards related to physical therapy assistant practice
    • Participate in professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices in physical therapy assistance.

    • Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program in good standing
    • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
    • Demonstrated ability to assist with the implementation of treatment plans
    • Working knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to lift and move patients as required for treatment
    • Experience with electronic documentation and healthcare software systems
    • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Capability to work in a collaborative healthcare team environment
    • Flexible to work variable hours including weekends, evenings, and some holidays as needed
    • Commitment to continuing education and professional development
    • Ability to adhere to safety and infection control policies and protocols
    • Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric, pediatric, and orthopedic patients (preferred)
    • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform job-related tasks

    Productivity:

    • The physical therapy assistant will be required to treat up to 2-3 patients per hour and a minimum of 16-24 (NON-MEDICARE) patients per 8 hour shift.
    • Must be knowledgeable of state laws and regulations pertaining to the supervision guidelines and working with the assistance of an aide for non patient related tasks.
    • Must understand the legal limitations on plan of care and be able to work with a physical therapist to provide the most efficient quality care to the patient.
    • Must be willing to cover at any of the 2 locations.

    Salary: $88,000-$94,000/ Year Annual Salary

    • Competitive Salary and Benefits: $88,000-$94,000/ Year Annual Salary based on experience and productivity levels
    • Bonus Structure: Weekly bonuses for meeting quality standards and volume quota. 
    We reward performance and efficient patient care. Bonuses can range from $125-$500 additional income per month. To qualify, PTA must average 18 patients
    seen per day for the week. 
    • Language differential: Spanish/English speaking PTA's start at $90,000 per year salary.

    Paid time: accrued at 3.3 hrs per month (160 hours worked per month)

    Schedule:
    8 hour shift
    Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm 

    Experience:
    Physical Therapy Assistant: 1 year experience in outpatient setting (Required)
    Language: Spanish
