    LNG Plant Operations Trainer

    KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a LNG Plant Operations Training Coordinator to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility's location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

    Aligning with KBR's commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

    This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.

    The LNG Plant Operations Training Coordinator will develop, implement, and monitor classroom training to meet the U.S. Department of Transportation training requirements. This role will deliver classroom training to plant operators, client operations personnel using project specific training materials. The LNG Plant Training Coordinator will develop operations and maintenance manuals, procedures, and pre-commissioning/commissioning support documentation. This role typically reports to the project Commissioning Manager or Training Manager.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop documents for a wide variety of topics including the explanation of LNG, how it's processed including security, safety, and delivery

    • Document completion schedules

    • Prepare status reports as required

    • Create, maintain, and communicate schedules for training development, delivery, and completion, to EPC project management and Owner designated representative(s)

    • Develop, update, and maintain documentation required for the project

    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory training requirements, including OSHA 1910.119 (PSM), EPC, DOT, and Homeland Security regulations

    Experience & Skills:

    • Strong knowledge & proven ability training on plant operations including LNG fundamentals, processing, pretreatment, liquefaction, LNG Storage, the codes & standards, instrumentation, safety, and other major LNG operations

    • Understanding of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements for an LNG Facility

    • Writing operating procedures and manuals

    • Ability to read and understand piping and instrumentation diagrams

    • Knowledge and previous experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Inspection Test Reports (ITR)

    • Proficiency issuing periodic progress reports for management follow-up

    • A wide degree of creativity is expected

    Additional Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

    • 10 + years of directly related experience with an average experience of 15 + years

    • Previous experience delivering plant operations training and conducting assessment sessions

    • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, Teams, and Word
