Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves serving various industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, oil-gas, medical, and food processing. Our products include corrosion-resistant materials, high-temperature resistance materials, and wear materials: bars, sheet/plate metals, alloy wire, tubing, and fastener products. The Machine Operator will initially be placed on the centerless grinder during their training period. If the operator demonstrates higher skill levels, they may have the opportunity to run the lathe or mill. The Machine Operator will also be expected to check the quality of their parts and learn how to use micrometers and calipers if they are not already familiar with them. This role also involves working in the shipping/packing department.

Hard Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Experience reading non-digital micrometers and calipers

• Proficiency in conversion of decimals to fractions and vice versa

• CNC machine operating experience (Nice to have)

• Manual machining experience (Nice to have)

• Degree from vocational school (Nice to have)

• Agricultural experience (Nice to have)

Soft Skills

• High attention to detail

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in TIPTON, Indiana.

Work Environment

This is a machine shop/fabrication shop environment. It is generally clean and well organized. This position entails operating older, manual machines, CNC, grinders and requires high attention to detail. Please note that this is a second shift position (after initial 1st shift training of 4-6 weeks) with the shift starting at 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday.
