  • Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Maintenance and Facility Manager. This position will be located at our Rumford, RI facility.

    The Maintenance and Facility Manager is responsible for directing the maintenance, repair and alteration of all buildings and equipment, facilities, and grounds including the movement, installation, repair and overhaul of machines, tools and plant equipment. Duties also include developing short and long term plans, managing facility support supplies, managing contracts for maintenance services by outside vendors, recommending changes, direct supervision over internal and external maintenance personnel and establishing organization priorities to meet or exceed plant goals and objectives. In this role, you will ensure the adherence to safe work practices and modifications in compliance with Eaton MESH, local and federal regulations.

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $88499.97 - $129799.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

    What you'll do:

    • Schedule, plan, organize and manage internal staff responsible for maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings and facilities. Prioritize organizational needs, work orders, coordinating with other departments to schedule a time frame for completion and scheduling work assignments.

    • Manage and monitor janitorial services and activities.

    • Coordinate procurement of equipment, replacement parts, supplies, materials and contracted services to perform required duties effectively and efficiently. Participate in the planning and implementation phase of the capital expenditure process with emphasis on operational, safety and environmental codes. Maintains records of capital assets and assists with disposal and acquisition of equipment.

    • General knowledge and understanding of ELS and comprehensive understanding of TPM/OEE and acquire knowledge of MESH. Participate in the Sites BOS process where applicable.

    • Coordinate / establish a system of preventive maintenance functions to be performed on a periodic basis to maximize equipment utilization and equipment performance. Develop a plan of regular and preventive maintenance for the building.

    • Prepare and complete all necessary budgets, plans, records, layouts, reports and presentations for approval relative to procurement of capital equipment, expansion, construction, service contracts and other related matters.

    • Provide assistance on major projects such as expansion of facilities, acquisitions and installation of capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes and other related matters for the best economic advantage and schedule.

    • Complete safety Work Orders in compliance with Site and MESH standards. Maintain WO completion records and publish results.

    • Department and project budgetary responsibility.

    • Procure, manage and maintain all required facility and maintenance team individual licenses and operating certificates.

    • Maintain EH&S procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by the City, State and Federal agencies; specifically in the areas of safety and the handling of hazardous waste

    • Maintain knowledge and preparations for reasonably foreseeable site facility-related emergencies. Participate and lead emergency responses to facility-related emergencies in association with internal and external resources. Participate and lead site restoration efforts with support of other resources.

    • Maintain control of Contractor badges, as well as key control for the site.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of four (4) years experience in a manufacturing environment OR High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution with a minimum of eight (8) years experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

    • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Rumford, RI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

    • Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience with mechanical and electrical principles of metal cutting machine tools, welding, grinding and assembly operations in addition to facility, building equipment and environmental management.

    • Experience in a union represented environment.
