Responsibilities

1. Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventive

maintenance requirements on robots, conveyors, programmable controllers,

transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring; following electrical code,

manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications;

troubleshooting.

1. Installs new machines and equipment by installing power supply wiring and

conduit to and between machines and equipment; using hand tools and test

equipment.

1. Maintains electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking

stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and

supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

1. Diagnoses malfunctioning machines and equipment. Replaces faulty

components of machines and equipment, diagnoses and repairs or replaces

faulty electronic components of machines and equipment., replaces electric

motor bearings and connects motors; may diagram and repair faulty mechanical

hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

1. Programs automated machinery and equipment to test for malfunctions and to

verify repairs; may plan layout of wiring and install wiring conduit and electrical

apparatus in buildings.
