    We are currently in search of a Financial Reporting Manager to join our client's O& G team in Dallas, Texas. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of internal and external financial reports in accordance with US GAAP. This role involves working closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, and provides an opportunity to work in a small office environment with direct interaction with senior management.     Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements of the company for both external (SEC) and internal management reporting.

    • Assist in the preparation of other periodic reports to be filed with the SEC.

    • Review and analyze GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

    • Draft and review technical accounting memos including accounting research, implementation of new GAAP, and special or non-recurring transactions.

    • Prepare certain accounting entries and reconciliations related to revenue and capital accruals, ARO, depletion, acquisitions, and others.

    • Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

    • Provide financial analysis to senior management to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as Manager of Financial Reporting in O& G

    • Proficient in SEC Reporting, with hands-on experience in compiling and submitting regulatory reports

    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP

    • Proven experience in both External and Internal Reporting

    • Familiarity with Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and Form 8-K filings

    • Strong skills in technical accounting, with the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to complex transactions

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree or certification such as CPA preferred

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

    • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally.
