    Summary:

    The Manager of Network Engineering is responsible for the development, deployment, and management of our Tidelands network and telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of Cisco technologies, demonstrate leadership capabilities, and have hands-on experience in designing and managing WAN, LAN, and wireless networks in a healthcare setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the strategic design, development, and optimization of WAN, LAN, and wireless networks to ensure seamless and secure connectivity across the healthcare system.

    • Collaborate with IT leadership and other departments to align network strategies with organizational goals.

    • Mentor, guide, and lead a core team of network analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.

    • Oversee performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement training programs to upskill team members.

    • Lead the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.

    • Stay updated on Cisco's latest solutions and best practices, ensuring our infrastructure remains cutting-edge.

    • Ensure robust design, implementation, and continuous monitoring of WAN, LAN and wireless networks for high availability and performance.

    • Supervise the setup, optimization, and expansion of wireless networks, ensuring robust coverage, security, and user experience.

    • Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure network infrastructure adheres to healthcare industry regulations, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCIDSS) and security standards and best practices.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology and service providers, ensuring optimal terms and top-tier support.

    • Regularly evaluate vendor performance, ensuring quality, reliability, and value for investment.

    • Regularly review and report on network performance metrics, highlighting areas of improvement, and implementing solutions.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and challenges, proactively adapting our strategy and technologies accordingly.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a related field.

    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology is preferred

    • 11 years of hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including design, deployment, and management of enterprise-level networks.

    • 6 years

    • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls

    • Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).

    • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing WAN, LAN, and wireless networks.

    • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of leading technical teams.

    • Deep understanding of healthcare industry regulations, PCIDSS and their implications on network infrastructure.

    • A visionary leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive results.

    • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

    • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex topics to a varied audience.

    • Physical and Environmental Requirements:

    • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

    • May require after-hours support and occasional travel.
