    Primary Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC, HMI, safety, servo, and vision-based hardware and software including, but not limited to: RSLogix 500/5000, FT View Studio, C-More HMI, Mitsubishi HMI, SICK FlexiSoft Designer, FANUC 2D and 3D Vision, AB Kinetix Servo System, and Cognex Insight Explorer

    • Develop and maintain equipment back up programs

    • Maintain software and devises to interface with all equipment

    • Trouble shoot production equipment and work to reduce downtime

    • Implement equipment predictive maintenance practices (TPM)

    • Develop electrical design, schematics, and drawings in AutoCAD

    • Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements

    • Help establish new standards and maintain existing standards

    • Stay current with the electrical code and communicate changes to the workforce

    • Maintain the plant's Arc Flash labeling program and manage updates

    • Develop electrical bills of materials for planned projects and installations

    • Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications

    • Check quality of maintenance personnel and assist in training as required

    • Work with manufacturing engineers to provide input with quote preparation as required

    • Participate in machine runoffs

    • Verify maintainability of new equipment

    • Design and develop software applications based on given requirements and specifications

    • Develop plantwide overhead crane and hoist standards and procurement process

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent, with five (5) to ten (10) years in a manufacturing environment

    • Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design, and troubleshooting capabilities

    • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures for manufacturing equipment and automation

    • Must demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies

    • Excellent leadership and coaching skills

    • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills

    • Outstanding communication skills to facilitate discussions with a wide variety of personnel

    • Ability to support multiple projects at once

    • Travel - 10%
