    Two Positions

This is an engaging role. This is not CAD heavy or sit behind the computer. It's very much talking to operators and find out what's happening and stand there while we test out new processes. They've got to know that there's going to be accountability to drive results. Here's the target we want and build a plan to achieve that. We're here for support, but they've got to know that they have the confidence to work independently and ask for help where needed.

Open to candidates who have started on the shop floor and worked their way up. Also open to bachelors degree.

    • Manage all aspects of manufacturing process for new product launches.

    • Maintain current product lines with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale.

    • Maximizing efficiency by analyzing and implementing layouts, workflow, manufacturing methods, and workforce utilization.

    • Utilize the appropriate tools and methodologies of lean manufacturing to inspire continuous improvement and operating excellence.

    • Creating and implement meaningful metrics that can be used to benchmark performance and highlight future opportunities

    • Assist in standardization of processes across all manufacturing facilities. Share best practices and implement proven solutions.

    • Documenting process methods and develops standard operating procedures.

    • Assist with development and implementation of jigs and fixtures to improve efficiencies and increase quality of products being built.

    • Assist in capital projects from concept to implementation.

    1. Need an engaged problem solver- get involved, find root cause, develop a list of actions. Dig into weld cell, understand process, get efficiency up where it needs to be. Jack of all trades who is process focused. (i.e. we're losing paint in our system to waste. Need someone who can study that. What's the history, what are the settings, where do we need to go). Dig into problems with a logical process for root cause analysis. Don't have to be an absolute process expert. Mig welding, powder paint, general assembly. Any of those areas is helpful. Bonus would be paint, but not required.

    2. Hiring for more process development oriented. Documentation that needs to be maintained. Roles overlap significantly, but his team is more focused on new change. Obsolete inventory, new training, new SOPs, rolling out to shop floor. They could have a production and balance issue on assembly line and need to move manpower around. His might be more about developing processes themselves. Evaluate a process. Define what the process is to build something so someone new coming in can go through the steps. Everything my group focuses around is the value add. Someone willing to go out and do time studies, study a process, and create a SOP. Logical approach to something.
