  • Adecco has partnered with a leading global manufacturer to recruit and hire a Manufacturing Engineer for their facility located just 50 minutes north of Columbia, SC.

    Job Summary:

    • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure quality standards are met.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and resolve production issues.

    • Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for equipment upgrades, layout changes, and workflow enhancements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems.

    • Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address inefficiencies.

    • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications are met.

    • Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Evaluate new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

    • Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.

    • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for manufacturing deviations and non-conformances.

    • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure process reliability and safety.

    • Participate in project teams for new product introductions and process validations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or process engineering. 5+ years preferred.

    • Project management experience and ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Proficiency with engineering/manufacturing software and process simulation tools. (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Minitab, ERP/MRP, etc...)

    • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

    • Basic understanding of PLC systems, programming, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems (preferred).
