What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
This role will be focused on implementing solutions for and supporting the Maximo CMMS system and MEP middleware for our Medical Manufacturing division.
Responsibilities:
Work with and provide technical leadership as part of an on-shore and off-shore team consisting of both full-time employees and contractors.
Build and manage relationships with the Medical business partners and other user groups.
Works directly with business unit clients to understand business processes and elicit enhancement requirements.
Provide input on strategic planning for system upgrades and migrations.
Plan and execute system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces
Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
Analyzes production system operations utilizing proactive monitoring, alerting, and capacity analysis. Lead root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
Collaborate with software vendor partners as a technical SME/liaison, understanding application architecture, schema and existing or future interfaces.
Participate in root cause analysis sessions with support teams.
Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects.

Qualifications
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field.
2+ years experience in supporting IBM Maximo preferred.
Experience with IBM WebSphere preferred.
Experience developing REST/SOAP API integrations and microservices preferred.
Experience creating direct integrations using Maximo MIF preferred.
Experience in creating custom reports in Maximo preferred.
Experience implementing and developing Maximo Mobile highly desired
Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) preferred.
Experience with validated systems and validation processes beneficial, but not required.
Anticipated salary range: $92,100.00 - 131,600.00
