    Description:

    ReplacemenTriage antepartum mothers for preterm labor, active labor, rupture of waters, pregnancy complications, or co-existing issues

    Manage patients in labor, including induction assistance, epidural assistance, pain management, education, and delivery support - Fetal assessment and monitoring

    Assist and circulate in operating room for cesarean sections, tubal, and emergency obstetric and gynecological procedures

    Educate patients on medications (name and purpose), labor, pushing, delivering, and postpartum care of mother and baby

    Newborn care and assessment for healthy infant

    Breastfeeding and postpartum support/management

    Collaborate with care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, and charge nurse

    Qualifications

    Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa

    Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter

    Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.

    American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certified within six (6) weeks of hire. - BSN Preferred
