    ECS Psychological Services, P.C. has an opening for a full-time NYS Licensed (or license eligible) Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist or Mental Health Counselor at one of our private practice locations in Saratoga Springs, NY. This therapist position includes providing individual, family and group therapy for children, adolescents and adults. The ideal candidate for this position is hard working, eager to learn and grow professionally, enjoys animals, and thrives working as part of a tight knit team. Starting pay range is $58,000-$62,000. Benefits and paid time off is competitive. This position includes both in-person and telehealth work.

    With 4 practice locations in Saratoga Springs, Mechanicville and South Glens Falls, ECS Psychological Services, P.C. offers a fun, creative and supportive work environment that allows clinicians to deepen their skillset and explore new areas of interest and learn from colleagues. Some of the diverse approaches to treatment offered at our practice include animal assisted therapy (cats, dogs and horses), Gottman Couples counseling, EMDR, trauma focused treatment for children and adults, Rapid Resolution Therapy, adventure-based treatment, play therapy and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.

    Job Requirements

    • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
    • Valid and current state license as a mental health therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or limited permit)
    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals, groups, and families
    • Demonstrated experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of DSM-5 and diagnostic assessment
    • Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create a therapeutic rapport with clients
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
    • Cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct initial assessments with clients to understand their symptoms, concerns, and medical history.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and diagnoses.
    • Provide psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or other modalities appropriate to the client's issues.
    • Maintain regular sessions with clients to work through their mental health challenges and monitor progress.
    • Facilitate group therapy sessions as needed, fostering a safe and supportive environment for shared experiences and collective healing.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to provide a holistic approach to treatment.
    • Keep detailed and confidential records of clients' therapy sessions and progress notes.
    • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust strategies as necessary.
    • Provide crisis intervention services to clients as needed.
    • Offer resources, referrals, and recommendations for additional support services to clients and their families.
    • Stay current with developments in the field of mental health by attending workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses.
    • Uphold ethical standards and legal requirements pertinent to the practice of mental health therapy.
