    At Kansas City Peterbilt, we are seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician for our expanding Mobile Service Department. We are looking for individuals with 3 years or more experience (preferred) as a Diesel Mechanic / Tech, who have a clean driving record and are ready for work. Were looking for applicants that are self-motivated, dependable, perform all tasks to the best of their ability, have good communication skills, and work well with coworkers. We provide onsite/hands-on training, which includes acquiring certifications from our factory OEM suppliers, at no expense to the employee.
    Mobile Service Technicians will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repair services to our clients' fleets, ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition and safe for operation. Kansas City Peterbilt is a fully certified Peterbilt Dealership through Paccar, Cummins, Caterpillar, Allison, Eaton, Dana & Meritor. We specialize in all areas of On and Off-highway diesel repair. Duties include but are not limited to, preventative maintenance services (PM) and replacement and/or repair of all major and minor components found in todays equipment.

    Job Details - RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    Mobile Service Technicians provide a service to our customers of the convenience of getting their units up and running by conducting repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics onsite at the customer location or other approved sites, at an OEM Service Dealer level. Communication with our internal personnel, including parts, service, and warranty, and our customers is pivotal for the customer service experience we want to provide. The responsibilities of a Mobile service Technician are as followed, but not limited to:

    • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on equipment including but not limited to brakes, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension systems.

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and provide appropriate solutions.

    • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide high-quality customer service.

    • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on customers equipment.

    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    What you need - JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Heavy lifting required

    • CDL preferred

    • 3 years or more of Diesel Mechanic experience (preferred)

    • Strong communication skills

    • Promotes and maintains a positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude within the department

    • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

    • Must be able to demonstrate positive resourcefulness & versatility in a fast-paced, always-changing, environment

    • Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions and flexible work schedule including weekends

    • Must be willing to listen and follow directions/advisement from the leadership team

    • Understands the importance of safety in the work environment

    Pay: $35-$50/HR
