Model Based System Engineer

KBR is looking for an MBSE Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The opportunity is for a position supporting a government customer in Chantilly, VA whose mission is to provide highly reliable and secure communications for other government users.? The enabling technology is primary focused on RF space communications and digital signal processing capabilities.? This systems engineering position is part of the Engineering Support Team which works with enterprise partners to evaluate planned changes that might impact our classified missions, leads various enterprise projects that span multiple efforts and works with the agency's Systems Engineering Directorate (SED) on new initiatives such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering. Individuals will become familiar with various systems architectures and eventually act as subject matter experts in advising the government clients on systems engineering and acquisition related decisions.? Duties could include occasional travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations around the world.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years with BS or 4 to 7 years with MS or 3 to 5 years with a Ph.D..

• (4 years of relevant experience in an RF space communications development/acquisition program can be substituted for BS)

• Technical BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree

• (4 years of relevant experience in an RF space communications development/acquisition program can be substituted for BS)

• The ability to work well within a team of engineers

• Demonstrated success in working with government customers.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience with Commercial/Government acquisition of communications satellite/ground segment hardware/software

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer science.

• TS/SCI with CI Poly

• Prior experience as a SETA with NUO IC agency customer working with requirements and other related readiness processes.

• Experience with Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC)

• Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools

• Prior experience with RF based satellite communications.

• Prior experience with digital signal processing.

• Prior agile development experience.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Poly in required to be considered for this position
