    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required.

    • Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts.

    • Grinding and adjusting valves.

    • Rebuilding carburetors.

    • Overhauling transmissions

    • Repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.

    • In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.

    • Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category.

    • Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.

    • Identification as a Technical Inspector adds administrative and quality assurance duties to the standard labor category.

    • Administrative duties include aiding Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and/or Quality Manager to ensure services provided are to standard.

    • This is accomplished through inspection of work in progress, work performed, and records.

    • This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

    Hourly Compensation: $23.67

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5+ years tactical or commercial equipment maintenance experience.

    • Knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.

    • Good verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

    • High School Diploma.

    • Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 investigation result and obtain a CAC.

    • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • ASE Certification.

    • CDL Preferred.

    • S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.

    • Valid Driver's License.
