  • Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Operations Manager. This position is located at our facility in Hodges, SC

    The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

    The Operations Manager is the primary lead for operational performance of the business - leading people and processes through fabrication, assembly, and final test. Eaton's Busway business is positioned for continued strong growth, from market growth in data center, vehicle electrification, and energy transition to product growth through with product development, acquisition, and organic growth. This is a unique opportunity to lead the effort to build a new operation from the ground up and create the strategy, goals and priorities for the function.

    What you'll do:

    The Operations Manager will lead the deployment of continuous improvement throughout the factory, leveraging the Eaton Business System and CI tools to drive sustained safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity performance. The Operations Manager will drive root cause and continuous improvement activities as part of daily process and facilitate their team's organizational development.

    • Manage and oversee the production of all products manufactured in the Hodges, SC Busway manufacturing plant.

    • Maintain continuous knowledge of SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) to determine optimal strategic planning, labor, equipment, and process to delivery consistently improved results.

    • Lead the production supervision team, headcount planning, hiring selection, talent development, foster a high-performing work team culture, performance management for the operations and production workforce.

    • Own metrics including customer on-time delivery, lead times, and labor productivity, Zero Incident safety culture, and Hi-5.

    • Guide and support facility and capital investment decisions to improve business performance and meet customer demand & quality requirements.

    • Be a leader across peers, coordinating appropriate parties to ensure strong operational performance to customer and financial commitments, including: Customer Order Engineering, Master Production Scheduling, Supply Chain, Quality, and Logistics.

    • Plan, recommend, justify, and manage annual operating budgets and financial targets in accordance with operational needs, strategies, and objectives.

    • Lead the Operations organization, ensuring effective talent development and organizational design to achieve the site operational, supply chain, and financial objectives.

    • Remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related policies and procedures of the company; monitor and correct employee actions of behavior to ensure adherence with required policies, procedures, systems, and rules.

    • Develop and support the key initiatives of the plant, function, division, and Eaton overall.

    Qualifications:

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution

    • Three (3)+ years operations leadership or supervision experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • MBA or Masters Degree in related field

    • CPIM / supply chain certifications

    • Lean Six Sigma certified

    Position Criteria:

    • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations, and front-line personnel.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of results through cross-functional business initiatives and strategies.

    • Managerial and collaborative skills are necessary to achieve and meet and customer requirements and to gain the support needed to move projects and initiatives forward.

    • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities are necessary to understand operational inefficiencies and resolve performance opportunities.

    • Sound knowledge of lean theory, deployment, and metrics.

    • Strong financial knowledge and business understanding to drive operational objectives in support of business goals.
