    The Department of Orthopaedics at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking applications for two available faculty positions at the Associate Professor and Professor level on the tenure-eligible track to complement their multidisciplinary musculoskeletal research program. Successful candidates will join a vibrant team of independent musculoskeletal researchers who lead various aspects of bone homeostasis and repair, muscle biology and volumetric muscle loss, spine development, and degenerative diseases as well as joint development and inflammatory diseases. Candidates with a specific focus on systems biology, epigenetics, forward genetics, developmental biology and stem cell biology would be given priority.

    This position will practice at our facility at Emory Musculoskeletal Research Center .

    Successful candidates are expected to sustain a nationally recognized and federally funded research program in one or more of the above focus areas in musculoskeletal research. They will also be expected to develop collaborations with clinician scientists in the Department of Orthopaedics and within the musculoskeletal research community. They will also be encouraged to interact with broader collaborative community of researchers at Emory University as well as other partnering institutions.

    Generous start-up funds and laboratory space will be provided with a primary appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics and a secondary appointment in an appropriate basic science Department within Emory School of Medicine.

    While these positions are not focused on teaching, participation in the overall education mission of the University will be highly recommended.
