Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking aPackaging Trailer Engineerto join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Candidate will be responsible for oversight of the Type B Packaging trailer fleet used at WIPP. Candidate will interface with CBFO counterpart, sub-contractors and waste handling personnel at the WIPP Site relative to the use, maintenance and repairs of the Type B trailer fleet.

Exempt Salary Grade (33-36)

Minimum Qualifications:These requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and applications are the means of determination.

• Bachelor-s degree in a technical field plus nine (9) years of technical experience.

• Experience must include some manufacturing technology and working under a quality assurance program.

Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.

Higher education attainment than listed acceptable per internal level identifiers of accompanying years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) years of project management experience is desired along with knowledge of DOT trailer requirements.

Minimum salary $100,630 per year-- Base salary will be increased based upon candidate's background (i.e., education and experience)
